Security Issues in a Differentiated Services Internet

The Differentiated Services (DiffServ) architecture represents a highly scalable architecture for deployment of QoS across the next-generation Internet. However, the DiffServ model has several key areas of trust critical to its correct operation which represent security concerns. This paper examines those areas of trust and how they apply to security concerns under the DiffServ model. Finally, the paper examines the proposed solutions to address these concerns.
